Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Alhakbani, Secretary General of Saudi Export Development Authority “SAUDI EXPORTS”, commended the state’s budget for the year 1436H – 1437H. He stated that the budget reflects the determination of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, may Allah bless him, to continue the development process and achieve his aspirations in outlining a prosperous future based on the knowledge economy framework. This, in turn, would secure a comprehensive sustainable development in all regions of the kingdom; contribute to the nation’s prosperity and citizens’ welfare; and support development and progress.
“SAUDI EXPORTS” Secretary General stated that approving the state’s budget for this year, which allocates 95 million Saudi Riyals for the authority’s budget, is a clear and evident proof of the government’s inclination towards diversifying income sources by promoting the presence of Saudi products in global markets, which is one of the key roles of “SAUDI EXPORTS”. Mr. Alhakbani confirmed that the budget’s approval has achieved the government’s aspiring vision and resolute focus to develop diversified Saudi exports capable of competing globally. This can only be accomplished through defining clear roles for each product and through effective strategic phases that successfully contribute to the reinforcement, success, and uniqueness of exported Saudi products in global markets.
Mr. Alhakbani described the state budget as a continuation of the state’s focus on reinforcing national economy through giving more support to developmental projects that targets the human resource; the key element in future development plans. He said, “There is no doubt that this budget will influence many major and service sectors through enormous provisions, which, in turn, reflects the state’s effort towards completing the infrastructures and contributing to citizens’ welfare. We hope that this budget would be distinctive and encouraging for the economic sectors in general and the exporting environment in particular; through which it would open doors for the private sector enterprises to a path where greater openness to global markets is achieved”. Mr.Alhakbani added that private sectors would be provided more opportunities to market their products, develop them, and achieve a real added value for Saudi industries and exports.
Finally, Mr.Alhakbani said, “I ask Allah Almighty to bless our beloved country and to maintain its security and prosperity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. May Allah bless them and help them achieve more prosperity, growth, and welfare for the people of this blessed country”.
