The Saudi Export Development Authority "Saudi Exports" concluded last week its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2017 in the United Arab Emirates and the Anuga FoodTec in Germany with the participation of 65 national companies between October 7 and 12.
The Saudi Pavilion at GITEX Dubai organized by "Saudi Exports" included 31 national ICT companies and was opened by His Excellency Deputy Consul General in Dubai, Dr. Nayef Al Rasheed and honored by the visit of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in UAE, Dr. Mohammed Al-Beshir. The participation of "Saudi Exports" at GITEX for the fourth time in a row comes to reflect the leap in the Kingdom's technical exports in 2016 with their highest increase compared to what has been previously achieved. The pavilion held within the exhibition that lasts from 8 to 12 October, attracted a large number of visitors who expressed their interest and appreciation for the Saudi Pavilion and stressed the impact of this participation in putting the Kingdom on the global IT map.
On the other hand, Anuga FoodTec was held in Cologne, German between October 7 and 11 with 34 Saudi companies participating under the umbrella of the Saudi Pavilion. The pavilion was inaugurated in the presence of Secretary-General Eng. Saleh Al-Solami by Their Excellencies Deputy Ambassador Adnan Bustji and Deputy Consul General Ibrahim Al-Subhi, who both praised the high quality of Saudi products that comes in line with the needs of the international markets. The exhibition attracted many visitors and potential buyers interested in Saudi products, with several business-to-business matchmaking sessions held between the Saudi and German sides as an additional advanced step that contributes to boosting the value of Saudi exports in general and food exports in particular.
It is noteworthy that "Saudi Exports" employs all its capabilities to promote exporters and their products; create export opportunities; develop programs for exporters; encourage them to export; encourage Saudi products and increase their competitive quality to help them access international markets in a way that reflects the position and quality of the Saudi product and serve as a tributary to the national economy. The work of "Saudi Exports" comes as a translation to the Saudi Vision 2030, and a response to the aspirations of the wise leadership towards diversifying sources of income of the national economy.
