The
Saudi Export Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS"
concluded
its participation in the China International Import Exhibition held during from November from 5 to 10, 2018, organized by the
Chinese government with the participation of more than 100 countries and 50
national pavilions in the sectors of industry, tourism and services. Where the
Kingdom participated in the exhibition in a national pavilion organized by "SAUDI EXPORTS" which includes a number of
government agencies and national companies from different sectors. That
participation comes in order to enhance trade and economic cooperation between
the two countries and open new export channels for Saudi companies in the
international markets, complementing the role of "SAUDI
EXPORTS" in promoting Saudi Arabia's products and services and
increasing its market share in the global market, thereby enhancing its
contribution to the gross domestic product.
The
Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs
His Excellency, Eng. Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah
Al-Abd Al-Karim opened the Saudi pavilion at the exhibition, where he wandered
in the pavilion's sections and saw the Saudi companies and their products, and
expressed his admiration for national products of competitive quality that
reflect the position of the Saudi product.
On the
sidelines of the exhibition, a draft protocol was signed between the Ministry
of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the
General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China for the
export of frozen white shrimp from the Kingdom to China, where the two parties
agreed on the provisions necessary to regulate inspections and quarantine and
veterinary requirements for frozen white shrimp to be exported from the Kingdom
to China. It is worth mentioning that this project is a step that promotes
trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, indicates the
Kingdom's interest in the entry of its companies from various sectors to the
Chinese market to increase the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and
China, as the Saudi non-oil exports for the first half of 2018 amounted to 16 billion
SAR.
"SAUDI EXPORTS" invests all its capabilities to
the efficiency of the export environment, overcome the barriers that exporters
may face, raise the knowledge of export practices, and develop human resources
in the field of export. It is also working to raise the export readiness of the
targeted enterprises through an assessment of the export readiness and
consultation services to improve the export capacity of the target enterprises.
"SAUDI EXPORTS" is also working to facilitate
the creation of suitable opportunities and export markets suitable for
enterprises by preparing the guides of market access and market studies on
demand. The Authority contributes to the emergence of Saudi products to the
target groups through participation in international exhibitions. "SAUDI EXPORTS" also provides a service to
facilitate the linking of exporters with buyers and potential partners through
trade missions and bilateral meetings on the sidelines of international
exhibitions. The work of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" reflects
the Kingdom’s Vision for 2030, and meets the aspirations of the wise leadership
in order to diversify sources of income for the national economy.
