The Saudi-Kazakh business forum concluded its activities. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Saudi Exports Development Authority, and the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce at the Rixos President Hotel in the Kazakh capital, Astana, with the participation of the two countries' delegations from the public and private sectors.
During the Forum, which was opened yesterday in the presence of the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Tawfiq Fuzan Al-Rubi'a, and the Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Asset Asekshev, the two sides emphasized importance of building on the current excellent relations between the two countries and working and improving the level of trade and investment. They also called for making use of the friendly relations and the signed agreement, and employing the two countries' enormous potentials and opportunities in all fields to raise the level of trade exchange and enter into partnerships between the business sectors in the areas needed by markets in the two countries.
Around 150 representatives of Saudi government agencies and businessmen and their counterparts in the Kazakh side participated in the forum. Discussions and visual presentations covered real opportunities offered by the economies of the Kingdom and Kazakhstan, particularly in the fields of petrochemical industries, mining, agriculture, and security and food industries. Businessmen also discussed exchanging information regarding future partnerships and showcasing their products in the markets of the two countries.
Some businessmen on the Saudi side praised activities of the forum and the government and private program and described the forum as stimuli for partnerships between the two sides in various fields.
