 “SAUDI EXPORTS” Participates in WETEX and Provides Investment Opportunities for Saudi Companies in Cooperation with "DEWA"

During the "WETEX Exhibition", value of exports by 150 national factories exceeds 900 million riyals


12 Saudi companies will take part in WETEX Exhibition 2015 to be held in Dubai between 21 to 23 April. During this activity, organized by the Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS", the companies will showcase at the Saudi Pavilion many of the products in water industry, energy and environment. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" aims to opening potential markets to national companies and exploring convenient platforms to connect with existing customers. This will also encourage national products to open broader prospects for potential customers through the promotion of those products in international platforms. On the sidelines of the exhibition, Wednesday, April 22, a meeting will be held between the Saudi companies participating in the exhibition and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to discuss future opportunities for "DEWA" projects, and qualify the Saudi companies to enter the UAE market. The meeting will be held in the presence of Chairman of the Saudi Electricity Company, Dr. Saleh Al-Awaji and managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority HE Mr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Tayer, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hakbani, the Secretary-General of the "SAUDI EXPORTS ". In addition to a number of officials from both countries.

The KSA exports tools, lighting networks, electricity, telephone, high-voltage power towers for the transmission of power and telecommunications, lighting poles and electrical glass fiber insulators, electricity distribution and control panels, power generation set, and other products. It is worth noting that the Saudi exports of electrical products to the Middle East and North Africa amounted to 1,990 million riyals by the end of 2013. Kuwait had the largest share of exports 43%, followed by Bahrain 19%, and the UAE came third 13%, while the rest of the countries in the region recorded 25% of the total Saudi electrical exports. The Saudi exports in the field of electrical materials industry grew by 8% by the end 2013, whereby the total value of exports for 2013 of cables and electrical conductors reached more than 750 million Saudi riyals produced by more than 60 national factories. The water sector also witnessed a qualitative leap in the value of exports recording more than 150 million riyals in 2013 through more than 100 Saudi factories specialized in manufacturing competitive high quality products.

WETEX exhibition 2015, housed by the World Trade Center over three days, is the biggest of its kind in the region. More than 1,500 exhibitors from 42 countries from around the world are expected to participate. Latest products include hardware and technical services. Participants will exchange experiences and ideas with leading global leaders in water, energy and environment sectors. The exhibition provides many opportunities for direct communication with key decision-makers and buyers interested in this growing sector in the Middle East.
