Saudi
Export Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS"
continues
its efforts to support exporters to raise their competitiveness and promote
their products and services in order to expand into international markets and
to overcome barriers that may limit that, which reflects the Vision of the
Kingdom of 2030 and its objectives to increase the proportion of non-oil exports
from 16% to 50% of the total value of gross domestic progress (GDP), seeking to
meet the expectations of the wise leadership to diversify sources of income for
the national economy leading to a bright future and a sustainable economy.
"SAUDI EXPORTS" is currently working on
implementing five major initiatives. The first one of it is Export Environment
Efficiency Improvement Initiative, which aims to solve the challenges faced by
exporters as well as to instill an export culture and raise awareness of its
importance. It also helps exporters in obtaining supportive logistic services
and qualified human competencies in the field of exports.
Followed
by export capacity development initiative of Saudi enterprises, aimed at
raising the knowledge of Saudi enterprises of the best export practices, export
policies and export procedures in the Kingdom and priority markets, this is
done through training programs and financial and advisory assistance.
"SAUDI EXPORTS" is working on the initiative of
promoting exporters and their products that aim to help exporters find export
opportunities, select appropriate markets for their products, and connect them
with potential buyers and partners in international markets. In
addition to raising awareness of Saudi products and improving its mental image
through the establishment of a trademark for the Saudi product and promote the
identity of that mark in the international markets. The strategy of "Made in Saudi
Arabia" project, in which "SAUDI EXPORTS"
cooperated
with a number of relevant government agencies, has been developed to determine
the criteria for granting this brand in terms of origin, quality and
credibility. During the next phase, the brand will be built and the procedures
for obtaining it, the necessary requirements will be determined and then
marketing it in the international markets.
Among
initiatives the initiative of the Saudi Export Bank establishment
in its two phases founding and operational. Where "SAUDI EXPORTS" supervises the establishment of
the Saudi Export Bank and completes the necessary statutory procedures to
establish it in cooperation with the relevant government agencies. Note that
the bank provides solutions, financial services and direct financing to Saudi
exporters, thus bridging the gap in financial solutions currently provided by
local banks and other government programs.
It is
worth noting that Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports during the first quarter of
2018 amounted to 56 billion SAR. Where Saudi non-oil exports for the first
