Represented by the Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA) and, in partnership with the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concluded today its participation, as an honorary guest and under a diamond sponsorship, at the 47th Baghdad International Fair, which was held in Baghdad from January 10 to 19.
More than 205,000 people visited the Kingdom’s pavilion at the international fair thanks to the promotional events and activities it organized, including the “Saudi House”, which is fully built with Saudi-made products, the “Saudi Tent” and a separate section showcasing Saudi technological services and innovation.
SEDA official spokesperson Thamer Al-Mashrafi said that the Kingdom’s participation in the Baghdad International Fair was a reflection of the historic, commercial and economic relations between the two countries, and also a confirmation of the efforts to enable and support Saudi exporters from various sectors to enhance and facilitate the access of their products and services to the Iraqi market as one of the most important regional markets.
He added that a total of 75 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed during the exhibition between Saudi and Iraqi companies, in addition to listing more than 500 Saudi products in Iraqi retail stores and digital platforms as per efforts to enhance the non-oil exports.
He pointed out that the Saudi participation in the Baghdad International Fair is considered one of the largest in the Republic of Iraq, as it included diamond sponsorship of the exhibition and a pavilion that included seven government agencies that presented the services provided to facilitate trade movement between the two countries, in addition to 95 Saudi companies that showcased their national products and services from various sectors.
