The Saudi Export Development
Authority (Saudi Exports) announced its participation in the upcoming “The Big
5” trade show which will be held at Dubai World Trade Center on November 21-24,
2016. The four-day event is the largest gathering dedicated to construction,
contracting and building solutions in the Middle East.
Saudi Exports seeks through The Big
5 to leverage the interaction between Saudi companies and international and
regional contracting and construction companies, and to highlight the value of
Saudi products and their supremacy over others in terms of quality and price
along with meeting the construction and building requirements in the region.

promote KSA’s exports in construction and building materials to the regional and
international markets and in the process, increase market share for the local
exporters in those markets through its participation.
Saudi Exports’ participation in the
exhibition for the fourth time comes as part of its strategic plan aiming to
enhance non-oil sectors participation in national economy. The KSA pavilion is expected to witness the
participation of around 60 local companies specialized in construction and
building products, which will showcase the productive capabilities of national
industry and highlight the high standard of their products to international
visitors and potential investors.
Moreover, the exhibition will offer
participating companies and visitors alike, the opportunity to look at the
latest updates and trends in regional market and to build new partnerships with
potential clients, as well as getting the latest information related to all
aspects of construction and building industry.
The participation also aims to
promote local Saudi industries via opening export channels for them in the
international front and demonstrate the competitiveness of the Saudi-made
products in terms of price and quality, thereby boosting the Saudi exporters’
share in the global market, and equally raising this sector’s contribution in
the Saudi GDP. Saudi Arabia witnessed a remarkable rise in exports volume of
construction materials on a global level worth SR12 billion SR over last year.
With exhibitors showcasing
thousands of certified and innovative products from across the globe, free CPD
(Continuing Professional Development) certified workshops on offer and live
product demonstrations, there is enough information for professionals from any
discipline of the construction industry.
The Saudi Export Development
Authority will offer several services to the participant companies, among which
is the designing of the general pavilion for Saudi industries, providing a
space dedicated for each participating factory besides samples shipping.
The Authority looks toward creating
an added value for Saudi manufacturers through its efforts and activities,
which reflects positively on national economy in general, and on the growth of
national construction business in particular, by stimulating and enabling the
companies to develop their business in the international markets, and benefit
from the available opportunities through training workshops offered all year
round or through participation in specialized international exhibition
organized by Saudi Export Development Authority in many sectors, plus bilateral
meetings and business forums.
