Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Tawfig Fawzan Alrabiah, KSA, represented by the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), participates in the international exhibition for building and construction “The Big 5 Dubai 2013” to be held on November 25th-28th, 2013 in Dubai.
Saudi Exports has finalized all its preparations for participating in the exhibition. This event is considered Saudi Exports' first participation in international events, through which it aims at a significant contribution to the diversification of national income sources by encouraging factories and firms, facilitating all procedures for their participation in international fora and shedding light on the Saudi products.
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Saudi Exports Board voiced his hopes that the authority would succeed and excel in its participation and highlight the quality of the Saudi products.
Moreover, Dr.Alrabiah pointed out that Saudi Exports will carry on its efforts in all fora to reflect the value, stature, development and progress achieved by the Saudi economy and to introduce Saudi products to the various global markets.
Saudi Exports Secretary-General, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Alhaqbani, outlined that the authority’s first participation abroad in “The Big 5 Dubai 2013” exhibition for contracting sector and building materials aims at highlighting the quality of Saudi products and their competitiveness compared to similar products from the various participating countries. Mr. Alhaqbani expressed his hopes that Saudi Exports’ efforts and activities would be reflected into real added value for the Saudi manufacturers; which, in turn, will be positively reflected on the national economy in general.
Mr.Alhaqbani pointed out that Saudi Exports is still at the preliminary foundation phase, which involves formulating its administrative and financial internal regulations, forming its strategy for the coming five years in preparation for setting up the appropriate organizational structure and attracting Saudi calibers capable of achieving Saudi Exports’ objectives and private sector’s aspirations.
Noteworthy, the participants from the Saudi private sectors at the Big 5 exhibition were more than 60 firm and factory. Moreover, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013, Saudi Exports completed the events of Saudi Dates Exporters Forum held in Istanbul, Turkey, and organized by Saudi Exports in cooperation with the Saudi Commercial Attaché and the National Center for Palms and Dates. The forum was organized in application of Saudi Exports’ strategic plan to increase non-oil exports and introduce the Saudi products import opportunities to the Turkish companies. The forum was attended by the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Saudi Exports Board, Dr. Tawfig Fawzan Alrabiah, and achieved great success. The economic medium looks forward to the continuation of familiarization conferences and fora to introduce Saudi products; competitiveness, access to global markets and benefiting from the great support offered by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allah protect him) to encourage the Saudi industrial sectors.
