The Saudi Export Development Authority "Saudi Exports" concluded its fifth participation at Dubai "The Big 5 2017" which took place from 26 to 29 November 2017 at Dubai World Trade Center. "Saudi Exports" participated with a pavilion of 57 local companies specialized in construction materials and services and attracted more than 60,000 visitors of interested buyers and decision-makers.
This participation came within the aims to promote local industries, open new export channels for Saudi companies in regional and international markets as well as to complement the role of "Saudi Exports" in promoting Saudi products and increasing the share of local products in international markets, thus enhancing the construction sectors' contribution to the gross domestic product.
Director-General of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Saudi Export Development Authority, Eng. Mazen bin Omar Al-Jasser noted that Saudi exports from the construction amounted to SAR 15.2 billion in 2016, stressing the promising opportunities available for Saudi products in this sector, especially in the Middle East and North Africa, which prompted "Saudi Exports" to organize this pavilion to serve as a platform to market the Saudi product and open up new markets.
Al-Jasser added that "Saudi Exports" participation in The Big 5 for the fifth time in a row comes within the efforts to mobilize Saudi companies to participate in this large regional and international forum in order to stimulate them in this vital and important sector to grow, develop and interact with international partners, explore the latest trends in the construction sector and keep pace with the level of demand in quantity and quality. He also stressed that such participation gives the Saudi exporter the opportunity to learn about other products and then evaluate and develop competitive local products.
Several visitors praised this year's Saudi Pavilion and the diversity and level of its participating companies, describing it as one of the best pavilions in the exhibition.
One of the most important activities witnessed in the pavilion were the Business Match Meetings organized by "Saudi Exports" between Saudi participants and interested buyers from different markets, aiming to highlight Saudi products and their market value and enhance their opportunity to access new markets.
