Today,
the Saudi-Egyptian Trade Mission will start in the capital Riyadh for the two
days during 28-29 October 2018, under the leadership of the Saudi Export
Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS", which
organizes the activities of the mission, with the participation of 60 national
companies and 28 Egyptian companies from the food and building materials
sectors. This step comes within the framework of the programs and services
offered by "SAUDI EXPORTS" to
local companies to achieve the objectives aiming at promoting Saudi products
and services in international markets. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" in this
mission aims at helping local exporters open up new markets for their products
by exploring export opportunities to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and establish
bridges of communication with Egyptians and to get to know closely the
first-hand of the needs of consumers and customers there, paving the way for an
extended business relationship with Egyptian trading partners.
In order to achieve a better
access to the Egyptian market, "SAUDI EXPORTS"
organizes
business matching meetings between Saudi exporters on the one hand and
potential buyers from Egypt on the other, in order to create generic
opportunities for Saudi products that achieve broader openness to international
markets. As this is a unique opportunity for companies to hold many
transactions for the development of its exports and expand their deployment in
the Egyptian market.
For his
part, Secretary General of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Saleh
Al-Solami, highlighted the interest of "SAUDI EXPORTS"
in
enhancing trade and economic relations and investment cooperation between Saudi
Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, emphasizing the depth of the
Saudi-Egyptian relationship thus the leadership in both countries is keen to
strengthen this relationship for the benefit of the two countries and for the
interest of the two peoples. Adding that a complement to our relations with our
brothers in Egypt come the Kingdom's participation represented by the Saudi
Export Development Authority that opens many export opportunities emphasizing
the strengthening of trade relations and keenness on increasing economic
cooperation between the two countries, which has long been characterized by
strength and durability, as the volume of non-oil commercial exchange between
Saudi Arabia and Egypt reached more than 11 billion SAR in 2017, The Kingdom's
exports to Egypt amounted to 5 billion SAR, Saudi imports from Egypt amounted
to 6 billion SAR approximately.
Al-Solami added that "SAUDI EXPORTS" are
working to stimulate companies from different sectors and enable them to
develop their business and benefit from the opportunities available, which will
contribute to promoting local industries and opening up new export channels for
Saudi companies in the regional and international markets. To
complement the role of "SAUDI EXPORTS"
to
promote the Saudi product and increase the market share of local products in
the international markets reflecting Vision 2030.
The Counselor,
the Head of the Egyptian Commercial Attaché, Dr. Yehyia Halim, in the capital
Riyadh, His Excellency expressed his happiness and welcome to the Egyptian
delegation and pointed to the depth of the Saudi-Egyptian relations that
reached the highest degree of compatibility and matching in visions and many
issues at all political, economic levels and at the intraregional trade level.
The partnership between the two countries has increased reaching unprecedented
levels and the conditions are more suitable than ever for commercial exchange,
activating partnership and promoting initiative mutual investments between the
two countries, Dr. Yehyia also praised the role of SAUDI EXPORTS and its services to the Saudi exporters,
its organization and its efforts exerted to achieve a compatibility of both
countries and increase commercial exchange.
"SAUDI EXPORTS" invests all its capabilities to
improve the efficiency of the export environment, overcome the barriers that
exporters may face, increase knowledge of export practices, and develop human
resources in the field of export. It is also working to raise the export
readiness of the targeted enterprises through an assessment of the export
readiness and consultation services to improve the export capacity of the
target enterprises. "SAUDI EXPORTS"
is
also working to facilitate the creation of suitable opportunities and export
markets suitable for enterprises by preparing the guides of market access and market studies on
demand. The Authority contributes to the emergence of Saudi products in front
of the target groups through participation in international exhibitions. "SAUDI EXPORTS" also provides a service to
facilitate the linking of exporters with buyers and potential partners through
trade missions and bilateral meetings on the sidelines of international
