SR 14 billion the Size of the "National Exports" in the Construction Sector in 2014
The Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS" will bring more than 100 Saudi companies to the international exhibition of building and construction works "Big 5 DUBAI 2015" at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates, during the period from 23 to 26 November. This is the largest industrial participation by the private sector under the umbrella of the Saudi Pavilion in international specialized exhibitions organized by the "SAUDI EXPORTS".
This is the third participation by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" at a time when global demand for construction industry and building solutions is growing. The aim is to stimulate the Saudi exports in this sector towards further growth. This sector has increased by two billion riyals during the past five years, from 12 billion riyals in 2009 to more than 14 billion riyals in 2014, according to the data provided by the General Authority for Statistics.
It is expected that companies' representatives at the Saudi Stand, which is supervised by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" will present to the global markets their productivity potentials of national industry in building materials. They aim to achieve the main objective of participation which is maximizing the market share of local exporters in the global markets, and enhancing the sector's contribution in the gross domestic product (GDP).
The exhibition is one of the most specialized international exhibitions in construction, contracting and building solutions. It will host more than 2,800 exhibiting companies, aimed to providing the latest and best construction solutions by distinctive international brands from all over the world. The exhibition will also include free certified workshops that meet the needs of professionals in the construction industry.
The Authority hopes that its efforts and activities will be an added value to the Saudi manufacturers in a way that will positively impact the national economy in general and growth of national companies in particular through stimulating these companies and enabling them to develop their business in international markets and making use of the available opportunities. It intends to do so through training workshops offered throughout the whole year, or through participation in specialized international fairs organized by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" in many sectors, in addition to bilateral meetings and forums.
