"SAUDI EXPORTS" Targets the European Market through Anuga
The Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS" will organize the Saudi Pavilion in Anuga food and beverages exhibition to be held in Germany from Oct. 10-14. More than 27 Saudi companies will participate in the Pavilion which will showcase many national food products, such as dates, canned food, juices and confectioneries. The goal behind this participation is to open potential export markets for national organizations and finding convenient platforms to connect with existing customers. The aim is also to encourage national products to explore broader prospects with potential customers, in order to achieve growth for the national firms through exports and through the international platforms, such as Anuga exhibition, that simulate target markets and promote Saudi products.
As part of services it offers in conjunction with the events of Anuga exhibition, the "SAUDI EXPORTS" has organized over 100 business-to-business matchmaking meetings between Saudi companies and their German counterparts. The goal of such meetings is to promote the Saudi products to international companies and ensure entry of the national products to those markets.
It is worth noting that export value of the Saudi national food products for 2014, according to data provided by the General Authority for Statistics and Information, has amounted to 11.7 billion riyals. The European continent had a share of about 53 million of this amount.
