Quality and Competitiveness behind Rising Acceptance of National Products

Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Germany HE Dr. Osama Bin Abdulmajeed Shobokshi inaugurated the Saudi Pavilion at Anuga Food & Drinks exhibition which was held in Cologne during the period between 10 and 14 October. The pavilion was organized by the Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS ". The ambassador also visited the participating national companies. He was briefed on the products of more than 27 Saudi companies presenting a number of Saudi food products such as dates, canned food, juices, confectioneries, etc. Large number of people visited the Saudi Pavilion and familiarized themselves with the high quality of the Saudi products which made them globally competitive. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" organized more than 120 meetings in a bid to enhance communication between the Saudi exporters and foreign companies in an attempt to strengthen relations and open broader horizons in the potential markets for the exports of national firms and explore convenient platforms to connect with existing customers. This will also encourage Saudi products to contribute to the development of competitiveness of those firms through platforms similar to the target markets such as Anuga Exhibition.

The Authority hopes that its efforts and activities will be an added value to the Saudi manufacturers in a way that will positively impact the national economy in general and growth of national companies in particular through stimulating these companies and enabling them to develop their business in international markets and making use of the available opportunities. It intends to do so through training workshops offered throughout the whole year, or through participation in specialized international fairs organized by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" in many sectors, in addition to bilateral meetings and forums.
