Al-Hakbani: Exportation, a Strategic Option to Stimulate Business Growth of National Companies
Dr. Tawfiq bin Fuzan Al-Rubi'a, Chairman of the "SAUDI EXPORTS '" Board of Directors and Minister of Commerce and Industry, presided over the Board's meeting on Thursday, 25 Dhu al-Hijjah 1436H, at the Authority's headquarters in Riyadh. The Board was briefed about items on its agenda that included the most prominent programs and projects that were implemented in the third quarter of 2015, in addition to the main projects to be implemented in the fourth quarter of this year. The projects will be implemented according to the Authority's strategy to develop export readiness by small and medium firms and creation of opportunities for ready companies to export.
The Secretary General of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Hakbani praised the Board's role in achieving the Authority's visions and supporting its activities in order to achieve the delivery of Saudi products to international markets and contribute to the diversification of income sources of the national economy. This will also stimulate the growth of national firms through export as a strategic option for the next stage.
He also affirmed that the third quarter of this year has witnessed good progress in several areas, most notably; completion of the strategy to help enterprises participate in the exhibitions, and developing instructions for trade delegations as well as analyzing the export environment in the Kingdom in the first phase. As far as developing exporters is concerned, the Authority was able to train more than 298 trainees through 14 workshops during the third quarter of this year. The Authority has also concluded visited trade missions flying to Ethiopia and Morocco, and held more than 88 business-to-business (B2B) meetings with Russian companies during the World Food Exhibition in Moscow.
The secretary general of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" explained that the Authority is working on signing bilateral agreements with a number of government agencies concerned with the export environment in order to promote the Saudi exporters and remove all procedural obstacles that they face in the export process.
It is worth mentioning that the "SAUDI EXPORTS" seeks to stimulate business growth of national organizations through exports.
