The Saudi Export Development Authority "Saudi Exports" is participating in the GITEX Technology and Communications Exhibition, held from 10 to 14 October, in Dubai, at the Dubai World Trade Center, under the identity of "Saudi Made” with around 33 national companies, to promote national technical products and services in one of the largest specialized technical exhibitions.
The participation of "Saudi Exports" in the exhibition comes as part of its role in enhancing and promoting the image and brand of Saudi Arabia's exports, strengthening its position in the regional and global markets, identifying international business opportunities, linking exporters with potential buyers, and promoting national products and services in the major vital trading platforms that bring together investors and those interested, in several fields, especially technical services, and communications, leading to raising the private sector’s contribution to the GDP to 65%, and raising the percentage of non-oil exports to about 50% of the non-oil GDP by 2030.
The Kingdom’s services exports in 2021, increased by 15% compared to the previous year 2020, where the value of the Kingdom’s exports of services amounted to SR38.6 billion in the year 2021.
GITEX is one of the most important technology platforms that showcase the latest technical solutions in the communications and IT sector in several technical fields such as cloud computing, consumer technology, information centers, e-marketing, and others. More than 5,000 exhibitors are participating in the exhibition representing more than 170 countries with an attendance exceeding the 100,000 visitors mark.
